It sounds like she's trying to host.
Earlier this month I had a skunk cleaner shrimp tearing into my torch...
This week features clarkii versus finger leather.
In the one corner, a clarkii added ten days ago, in the other, a finger leather established last month. Whether she is a) attempting to host, b) defending her territory, or c) thinks the leather is fugly, I'm not sure, but she is seriously battering the tips of the coral.
She just started this behavior this morning, and so far the leather is only closing its polyps on the tips, but...
Short of tossing a damsel in to distract her (just kidding!), I'm wondering if I should try moving the leather to the other side of the tank.
Thoughts?
It sounds like she's trying to host.
