WELCOM TO REEFLAND!
The LR will help with the cycle of the tank. If you put it in after the tank has cycled, you could end up with some die off from a mini cycle and it would throw yor water prameters out of order. Martin

You would be better off to cycle the tank with the rock in first. This way the tank will cycle and the rock will fully cure. Just provide good circulation, and check your water pars often. This process will take aproximately four to six weeks. Then you will be good to go.
