    Question Spaghetti Caulerpa

I have a large patch of Spaghetti Caulerpa. Does anyone have long term experiance with it? What I wanted to know is does it crash and go sexual like other Caulerpa?

    Question

Sure it's not just a big chunk of hair algae? how did you ID it as caulerpa macroalgae and not nuisance algae? do you have a pic, or can you describe it?

    Is this it?:

I don't know what it's called but it looks and feels like fishing line. I've had some in the refugium for the last 9 months with no problems. Weird stuff.

That's what I have. The stuff I have is real dense, kinda like a brillo pad. The pod's love it. How often do you trim it?

Exactly the same stuff I have in my refugium:

I have never seen it reproducing asexually (releasing gametes into the water column).
I knew it as turf algae, not even sure it is a caulerpa type? does someone know the scientific name of it?
The amphipods in my refugium love it as well, all the babies hide there.
I don't trim it (mine doesn't grow fast at all), since I don't use it for nutrient export. I have never seen part of it going yellow or clear.
