I am thinking of getting seahorses. I want to put a few dwarfs in my refugium. Can anybosy tell me where to get them for a decent price.

Dr Mac and Sons
Marine Depot LIve
Ocean Rider
Dr. Foster's Smith

All sell captive-bred horses. I think everyone's prices are just about the same, with the exception of Ocean Rider.

Can I ask why you want to put them in your 'fuge? They'll eat anything like pods you are trying to culture. How big is your refugium? Does it have strong current running through it (is it plumbed inline in your tank)? Horses can't stand strong current. And they like to have stuff to hitch onto -- rocks, artificial corals, hitching posts.

i want to put them in the refuge because they will not be bothered by other fish. The refuge is 10 gal with tons of pods and other critters. That is why I picked dwarfs. The refuge is inline with the main tank.

Refugiums are for giving refuge to less aggressive animals like sea horses. A refugium is a perfect place for them (as long as you meet their nutritional needs).
