i had planed to keep a lot of soft corals because i want to learn to propigate. this tank will have xina and mushrooms as well as some leathers and i was wandering if there was any ill effects on the clams caused by the excretions of the soft corals. this has been said to cause problems with growth in sps tanks and i will not house a clam if it will not do well. all other factors aside they look like good residence together liking higher nutient water and simular light and water currents.

I've got 4 clams (two T. crocea and two T. maxima) in my 75 gallon tank with numerous mushrooms, toadstools, and I used to have a Xenia ( that did not survive my attempts at pruning). They all (except the Xenia) are doing well. I do use charcoal as I've heard it will bind soft coral toxins.
