Can someone Id this for me
This Caulerpa type plant is taking over my tank it will cover rocks in a matter of days. I have to trim it back all the time. This is the best pic I have It has a leaf that looks like a lettuce with jagged edges I need something to kill this or something to eat it. Any ideas Thanks Worm

Yes I did some research on razor or sawtooth caulerpa it does look like it Is a tang what I need to get. A guy at the Local pet shop sold me a bi color angel he said it would take care of it. the angel will not touch it.

I know emerald crabs like to munch on it. I do not know if any tangs will eat this stuff. Do a little research tho before you make another purchase. HTH

Assuming we're talking about a 30-gal tank (which is what you list in your profile), I can't think of anything that would eat it that you could keep in a 30-gal tank. If you were to try to put a Foxface Rabbitfish or any of the Tangs in a 30-gal tank, you would be asking for disaster.

Bigworm,
If it is really C.serrulata, I don't think there is anything or anyone that will eat that stuff. I've been plagued by it in my anemone tank for over a year and the only thing that I could do is to manually remove it as much as I can. It sporulated on few occasions making it worse to deal with but right now I ca finally report that I am free of it. I took few rocks at the time out of the tank and removed those little runners with the tweezers to help along as well. In a 30g tank( if that is what you have) it shouldn't be all that bad to try manually controll it. Making sure that you limit nutrients input should help as well. Good luck! I know how depressing this stuff can make you feel. ![]()
