I have a green torch coral with about 8 heads;well one of the heads divided about a week ago, from then on its been down hill.I think that the head got a infection when it was dividing.Needless to say that the two heads are dead, but now I'm noticing black dot on the tips of the 3 heads that were touching the dying ones is.I don't want buy torch to die but I also don't want the infection to spread to the other LPSs in the tank.Should I take it out or leave it there?

Cut off the affected branches and leave the others. Use a hacksaw if you can.

Im not sure if this will apply to a torch but it applies to frogspawns. I had the same thing happen to a frogspawn and i cut of the two good branches and tossed the other two. But what happened was the exposed internal skeleton was facing down, towards the sandbed. And for some reason my sandbed tosses out huge amounts of bubbles. And the bubbles were rising up and getting caught in the skeleton of the frogspawn and irritating it. it refused to open all the way for months. I then noticed it and covered the exposed skeleton with parafilm. Within a few weeks the frogspawn has increased its expanding to about half its original size.
