lower light corals
I'm currently running two 96W pcs- an actinic and a 50/50, and haven't yet kept corals with this new lighting set up. I'm thinking about starting to get back into corals, and am wondering how much this low light will limit me in my choice. Are there corals other than mushrooms that will be happy under these conditions? Thanks

you have the smae lights I have. I have only tried leather corals and mushrooms. The mushrooms actually become more of a nusaince becasue they repoduce so often. I would not try to keep anything else with these lghts. they appear bright but are no where near the requiried minimun for other corals.

My leathers are growing out of control. I cut them often and sell the frags. I also have a frogspawn that is near the top and it is growing well. I have noticed that I can olny keep a few a kinds of corals. Others do not do well in my tank.

If your willing to feed them try Tubastraea aurea they dont need high lighting because the lack zooxanthellae, they are awsome looking , but only if you are devoted to feeding them (each coralite individually) mysid shrimp on a regular basis

Xenia, Kenya Tree, Zoanthids, CandyCane (closer to top), GSP's, Mushrooms, Leathers, Blasto's (closer to top), Clove polyps and Sun polyps are all doing very well with this lighting in a 22" deep tank.
