Scooter blenny is a dragonet. Same as a Mandrin.

From my understanding a scooter blenny is a dragonet but not as picky as a mandrian. At my LFS they will only eat frozen brine shrimp or bloodworms(along with live 'pods and such that they find). I would say they most likely won't eat any algae because they prefer protein as their diet...HTH

scooters don't really clean the tank. as mentioned above, they are in the dragonette family. Some will adapt to eating frozen foods but some/most won't eat anything but the micro-crustaceans that comprise most of the dragonett's diet. You really should have a mature tank and quite a bit of live rock to support just one.

lawnmowers are great at eating hair algae(hence the name). I've heard of a few folks having problems getting them to eat foods other than hair algae and I've also heard of the occasional rogue lawnmower blenny nipping at corals/clams/ect.... I had one - it was a great fish until it went carpet surfing.

OK! Ill go with the eyelash! i have some hair algae starting so this will be a nice addition. I forgot that scooters are dragonets! Since Today is friday, im gonna have it delivered tuesday I love getting new fish! I have a full hood over my tank, so carpet surfing shouldnt be an issue, but there is a rogue screw sticking out of the wood that the fish could impale itself on! That would be horrible! I cant wait!
