Unhappy Bangai Cardinal Dying

Went to my girlfriends house today and her Bangai Cardinal is dying...i dont think it will make it to the AM. I tested the water, perameters are great (should be i do all the maintenance ) But about a week ago the fish just stopped eating and hasnt touched food since. It was established for about a month and was supposedly tank raised. No lesions of any sort that i can see on it...dont know...its a mystery to us. It's really eating my GF up, she is a die hard animal lover (worked at an animal hospital for free). Any suggestions?
ANything i can do in the future to make it better?
Thanks guys
Jamie

Probably a little late, but did you try soaking the food in garlic (Kent Marine Garlic extreme, etc.)? It has been used as an attractant to finicky eaters, and as a possible aid for fishes with internal parasites.

Hope everything works out and the finned friend recovers!

Try some live foods, if you can! They aren't the greatest, but it may inspire them to eat.

Just tell your wife that having a tank teaches you all sorts of new DIY skills...which will save lots of money around the house...so you can buy more stuff for your tank...so you can learn more skills...
