Orange Sponge?

Can anyone tell me what this is? I looks sort of like an orange coraline but has many small feeder tubes(?) My guess is some sort of sponge. It is not thick at all and seems to be spreading rapidly it was about 3"x3" when i bought the rock and has double in size in 3 weeks. Sorry for the blurry pic best I could do with this camera.orange-sponge-03-04-06-tank-015.jpg

It's difficult to tell from the pic... it could be an encrusting sort of sponge, or it could be orange coralline algae.... either way, it's nothing to worry about

Agreed. Where was the rock collected from?

A local LFS. I was just curious if anyone had a guess where it was from. It doesn't look like fiji or any other common LR i've seen.

Can not make out any detail from the photo, but if it has vents, It would not be coralline algae, and as far as I know, leaves only one other choice, it being a sponge. Which is common to have any number of sponge species come and go within our systems. I have a few good links if you wish to learn more about sponges. I would also imagine the closest you will get to a location is the indo-pacific.
