Why is my leather covering my tank with snot every night?

The brown crap is everywhere. Is this due to lack of current, it just gets a little. Why does it happen at night. Event though it happens a little during the day but every morning its me and the turkey baster. Help!

I dont know why it would be doing this every night. Is it sloughing off tissue on a daily basis? Mine never do that. It can't be good for your other inhabitants to have that junk settle on them. What's your flow like?

on a 55 I have a maxi 1200, 400 and an off brand 200gph. You would think that would be enough. I have another 400 in the wings should I put it on and point thte damn thing at the leather?

In my 75g tank I never had a problem with flow until I bought my toadstool. It looked great for a while but then it shrunk up like they do from time to time. But it stayed that way longer than normal.....like 2 weeks. So I put a mj 400 in the tank right under the center brace and aimed it towards the bottom left corner where the toadstool sits. Within 2 days all the old tissue had been taken away in the slightly higher current and it's been open and healthy every since....in fact it hasn't shrunk up in a long while. I'm kind of expecting it to shrink again and settle into a routine but I don't know if the animals healthy if it even will shrink up.

Well I've switched some things around and now he's getting more current so we'll have to see in the morning. Thanks
