Is there a trick to....?

Is there a trick to getting mushrooms and rics to attach to rocks? I have had both now for 3-4 weeks and neither one of them has attached. I have tried super glue and they just slime their way off of it.

Suggestions please.

Hi Anne,

You might try to take a thin rubberband and place it around the top of the shroom/ric and around a rock. Not only might this help the coral attach, it could also help the coral split and reproduce.

I have used the needle and thread method successfully. I start with a small piece of rubble. I thread a needle and plunge it through the middle of the mushroom. Then I tie the thread around the rubble. The piece of rubble can then be glued to a rock face. I have also had some success just stuffing a loose mushroom into a crevice in rock. Other times, they just float around until they stick somewhere. If it is an OK place, I just leave them.
