New test results
I got a water test done tuesday here are results.
PH 8.3 Specific Gravity 1.023 Amonia 0 Nitrite 0 Nitrate 0 KH 10 Calcium 340 Something that starts with a p 0 What should I be adding supplement wise. Currently Im not. Here is the setup 46 gal bow 52lbs liverock 60lbs live sand 5-8 small soft coral frags(added tues and wends) 1 tank raised percula medium 1 wild ocelaris small 1 yellow clown goby 1 diatem(sp) dottyback (will be leaving as soon as I can catch it) 1 peppermint shrimp 3 snails 5 hermit crabs bak pak2 skimmer emperor 280 with carbon/no bio wheels 4 bulb tek t-5 light(very bright)1 aquablue 1 ge 2 actintic plus Let me know what you think |

I'd add a calcium supplement - there are a couple of choices:
1. Kalkwasser drip when you replace evaporation water. 2. Two part balanced solutions - there are many options. 3. You can supplement calcium only, but it may lead to ionic imbalance in the long term (I don't advise adding calcium alone unless it is in the form of Kalkwasser.) Other than calcium, it looks good. P.S. A lot of people on here only supplement calcium in addition to regular water changes.

I agree, looks good! You can research the addition (drip) of kalkwasser by doing a search here. It is the most balanced and cheapest approach, however can be risky is not dosed correctly and it does take some labor to prepare. Other options are the 2-part supplements like B-Ionic or Ocean Blend (my preferred brand) and although these are much easier to administer, they are costly in the long run. The last option, a costly one but by far the easiest and most stable in the long run, a calcium reactor.

And you "p", should be Phosphate and 0 is the only way to go.
