I am just getting into sw and my 92g just finished cycling so i bought a ocellaris clown as a first fish. He was in a quarantine 10g tank that i planned on keeping him in for a few weeks to make sure i would not introduce any diseases int othe tank. Its a good thing i did because yesterday i noticed white bubble like specs on him. I thought it was ich but i looked up diseases in my book and it says there is also a disease that sounds similar that effects anemonefish. I am not quite sure which it is. He had been in the qt for 4 days and then i was gonna go to the lfs and ask them what to do but he died. My book said to do a freshwater bath and treat with copper. What went wrong to make him die so fast. In the qt the ph was 8.2, ammonia 0, nitrite 0, nitrate 0, and the gravity was 1.023 and the temperture was 79. What went wrong?

sounds like ich to me I got some fish from lfs same thing happen i took them back and they gave me in store credit that was last year still have credit wont buy fish there all fish look bad
well anyway the ich gets into there gills and they cant breath

Did you treat the q-tank with Copper?
