Alright...

1. I have no idea??
2. Sun Coral
3. Most likely your frogspawn but will have to wait until the polyps expand
4. Top is your pink leather (probably a toadstool so it won't remain pink) and the lower is some kind of finger leather, so perhaps a devils finger.
5. See #1.

Ok so then that black one,the first picture, must be the extra leather he added for me and there are actually 2 frags....possibly could have been 1 frag and broke during shipping and when I took it out of the bag it was like it was falling apart like a cookie sitting in milk too long. and the one that you thought was the frogspawn Im thinking is frogspawn too, I can see its polyps from the top and they are green.

I'm not sure about that black one, not aware of any black leathers and if it is falling apart like that, it's not a great sign.

I'd second the esteemed Dragonlady's guess... black sun polyps. Only because they are the only corals that I have seen that are that black.

The black/dark purple one I believe is a leather coral. As they expand it will lighten up considerably. Very difficult to identify the family let alone the species. My guess is something from the Sinularia or Lobophytum families.

Kevin

I took the black colored corals out. I believe them to be DOA. This morning I checked them and went to remove one and it was like snot. It just fell apart like wet paper into a hundred brown mucus like, filmy pieces. So I picked up the other one and the same thing, I think they were dead.

Yes they were both dead. Very good move to remove them. They can overload your bacteria population and cause an sudden rise in ammonia as they decay, killing other tank inhabitants.

Regards,
Kevin

Now my frogspawn and my sun coral have not opened yet. Should I be alarmed. The frogspawn I have seen its polyps come up about an eighth of an inch but that is about it and the sun polyp hasnt done a thing. I try and coherse it out 2 or 3 times a day with a mixture of phytoplex and plankton but it doesnt even budge. Any ideas???

Continue to give it a few days. I agree that the initial pictures didn't look too promising but that can be deceiving.

Here are some updated pictures of them. The leathers seem to be doing good but Im just not sure of the frogspawn and sun coral. Those are the 2 that worry me. I need to get a picture of the pink one still, I think a pink toadstool mabey. That last picture is of the blasto that dip stick sent 3biz day that I drove 2 hours to get at the fed ex wherhouse so it wouldnt die.

Ok so here is an even more up to date picture on the corals. I keep trying to get better pictures of them so the color can be seen but the crappy camera combined with my picture takeing skills does not make for a very pretty outcome . That dang toadstool??? I just cant get a halfway decent picture on that thing. I mean really all the pictures stink but that one is the worst

Yes, there are calcareous algaes, including coralline algae that absorb calcium out of the water. Coralline algae actually absorbs quite a bit.

I'm not sure what you are referring to with the second half of your question "which presents as hardness"... ????

jollopee,

Your frogspawn appears to be a goner as indicated by the brown algae that has started to form on the skeleton. Tissue should be covering this preventing any brown algae from forming. Can you see any tissue on any of the heads?

That frogspawn went in the trash the day after I got it....the guy just refused to send it over night and the temps were in the low 40's at night......he insisted on usps 2 day priority, even after I recieved the first dead ones then I asked him several times to send the replacements over night. They were both dead when I got them, I have no doubt about that. That brought his total coral delivery death toll to 6 I wont buy anymore coral from that guy (moron).
