planning ahead....

okay, i have been researching, reasearching & researching...after all that, i have decided to just go ahead and make the plunge w/ a 125g tank (55 refugium) to house a green target mandarin....(i figure this project will take me abut a year and a half, if all goes well)

i have come up w/ a list of fish that i think will do well as community and would like any thoughts anyone might have

yellow target goby
scott's fairy wrasse pair
bartlett's anthias pair..(will these be too competetive for food w/ the mandarin?)
lawnmower blenny
purple firefish mated pair
percula clown pair
blue-spotted rabbitfish

a toadstool or two for the clownfish
xenia
and some small polyps

cleaner shrimp

any input is greatly appreciated....is this too many fish?....any competing fish in my list?....too aggressive?...thank you all ahead of time!:-)

thats not too many fish but if it were me i would eliminate the wrasse pair (simply because a pair will cost at least $120, not a good fish for a beginner even though their easy to keep, plus their jumpers!-add later). i also wouldn't add a mandarin until you get your pod squad up really high- maybe 3 months or so??? i lost 2 and i have tons of copepods and amphipods. they are awesome though. lawnmowers can sometimes get down right mean as did in a friend of mine's tank, fighting a clownfish to death! i would spend less money on fish and use that money for more corals.
good luck, your tank will be awesome-dont worry
