Where do I find a Clarion AngeL??

Hi, I'm thinking of setting up another tank, this time a fish only with live rocks. This will be down the road, but where do I find one of these guys.

I think we had one in our 80 gallon FO tank back a few years ago, but don't know where we got it.

THey look really beautiful and orange colored!!!

Regards,
Ilham

Elmo,
The Clarions are extremely rare indeed. However, with a little patience and persistence you can find one in your tank someday. I have dealt with Marine center a couple of times in the past and "IMHO," I would steer clear of these guys. Plus I do not believe that they are one of the few who are privvy to the Clarions. As mentioned there are only 4 people, (as far as I know) or companies if you will who are able to get this angel in the U.S. Give Harjun,
(Ha-john) from Jawz.net in Ft Lauderdale a call, and he may one day get one for you, (954) 462-5299. I am sure he has a waiting list though. He is also one of the 3 in the U.S. who can get Conspiculattis (sp?) angels on the regular. Quite beautiful as well, and expensive, but no where near the cost of the Clarion. Good luck, HTH.

Duncan.

Duncan,
I'm curious as to why you don't like marinecenter?
I had friends order from them with no complaints...little expensive, but its cause they wanted a special one of a kind fish...
I want to know so I don't make a mistake of telling other to order from them.
Sorry Elmo, thought they were a good place for speciality exotic fish.....

Tom,
I have ordered stuff, or customers have ordered stuff from them only after talking to whomever salesmen, who gave us a description of items that were wanted. The descriptions were exactly what we wanted to hear, "awsome color this, beautiful white that, etc, etc," and each time I opened the boxes, I was extremely dissapointed, as were my customers. Hell, just a couple of weeks ago, I had a customer order a black tang from them, first of all, yes it was way too pricey, but my customer did not want to wait until I could get one at a much better price. I was there when the bag was opened, and the fish was placed into the tank. Much to my dismay, the fish looked horrible, I am talking the thinnest fish I have ever seen, fins all torn and ratty. Just a ****ty specimen. And within hours the fish was dead, as no result of its new environment, but rather the lack of health before being shipped. So in my humble opinion, I do not think Marine Center is a place where I am going to order an extremely expensive Clarion angel from. Dont get me wrong, the above mentioned scenarios could be isolated cases, and marine center may have provided great fish and corals at decent prices to other customers. But this is not the case with myself or my customers. All the above is IMHO.

Hey John,

I don't know if you noticed or not, but this thread is 7 years old.
