watchman goby color change
We just got a yellow watchman goby about a week ago. He has been a bit skittish and seems to keep changing "homes". We figured he is just getting used to his new surroundings. Today we did some tank maintainance. Tonight we see that he is no longer a YELLOW watchman goby, but more a gray watchman goby. He isn't acting strange at all - he still moves the same, eats the same, etc. He just looks different. What happened to the little guy? Is he okay?

It happens from time to time. Some believe the changes in coloration are related to the sex of the fish. You can read a bit about it near the bottom of this article.
