Question Good Or Bad - Don't Know What It Is?

APPROXIMATELY ONE MONTH AGO - I NOTICED A SMALL COCOON ON THE SIDE OF ONE OF MY FEATHER DUSTERS - I DIDN'T THINK TOO MUCH ABOUT IT BUT THIS THING JUST KEEPS GROWING - IT APPEARS TO BE OVER AN INCH LONG NOW - IT APPEARS FUZZY (ALMOST LIKE A SPIDER EGG SACK) AND IT HAS A PERFECT HOLE RIGHT DOWN THE CENTER. I SNAPPED A PIC WITH MY PHONE AND THE GUY AT THE FISH STORE SAID IT WAS NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT AND HE CALLED IT A TUNICATE (SEA SQUIRT). I CAME HOME AND TRIED TO DO SOME RESEARCH ON THESE BUT NONE OF THE PICS COME EVEN CLOSE TO WHAT THIS LOOKS LIKE. I'M SURE THERE ARE MANY SPECIES BUT I WOULD JUST FEEL BETTER IF I HEARD IT FROM SOMEONE ELSE. I HAVE SEEN NOTHING NEW IN THE TANK - NOR HAVE I SEEN ANYTHING WORKING AWAY AT THIS COCOON (WHICH HAS ALWAYS APPEARED VACANT) I DO HAVE LUNAR LIGHTS ON THE TANK AT NIGHT AND STILL HAVEN'T SEEN ANY ACTIVITY. I HAVE ENCLOSED THE TWO PICS FROM MY PHONE - THEY ARE NOT THE GREATEST BUT SHOULD HELP ALITTLE...
ANYONE HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS???

The pictures leave a lot to be desired, but I think you have yourself a pineapple or q-tip sponge. They are harmless.

Also, could you please turn off caps lock; it's the internet equivalent of yelling.

It's some sorta sponge. Harmless. Not to worry. Actually it's a good sign that it is surviving - sponges can be picky.
