what is the right price to pay for a used tank?.....i ran across what is my "dream" tank and stand/canapy....it was used for a few months and they asking 1/2 of retail....i would have already bought it new if i could have afforded to

so, is there a normal % of what it would cost retail on used tanks

It all depends on the age of the tank and the condition of the tank. Obviously a tank that is only a few months old is a better bet than one that is 12 years old.

If you can get a tank and stand that is less than a year old for half what the original owner paid, that sounds like a good deal to me.
