Few more... I really liked zero edge tank that ORA had at the conference. I wish those things weren't so expensive though. There few vendors of livestock but I didn't take any real good pictures of the livestock. It's almost impossible to get close with the camera and set up for a good shot.

Thanx, Charlie. There were quite a few people selling frags..."sharky's reef", "frag exchange" to name a couple. Eric Borneman and Steven Pro held a frag workshop together with frag exchange( all corals were donated by them). All the frags from the workshop were given to people as well at no cost, I believe. To be honest, I left after about 20 minutes becouse I had seen couple of them at the previous conferences.
There were also many dry goods vendors and quite a few new items as well. The talk of the show was new needle wheel impeler on the Dart pump, unfortunately I didn't take any shots of it in action. All I can say is that thing produced some serious foam...

Nice pics Gene! I sure wish I could have been there. Next year I am BLACKING OUT that date.

A needle wheel on a DART huh? LOL I'll bet you could plumb that thing into a 12" PVC pipe about 4ft tall and get a HUGE SKIMMER for pretty darn cheap!

Yep, the needle wheel I think is about 4 inches in diameter and it was pumping foam in a 20g tank via 2" pipe, or larger. I think Geo added like two or three teaspoons of skimmate and it went ballistic and filled that tank full of foam.

Every time I went by the dang thing, it wasn't running. I was wondering if it ran at all.

Gene-

It was wonderful to get to meet you... though the circumstances were a bit intense, it was still a pleasure.

I hope I'll be seeing you again at one of these things. Are you going to MACNA?

Oh, and just fyi... you are by far the best looking guy over 40 I've ever met. (If you're wife is reading this too... just remind her I'm married to an absolutely gorgeous young surgeon. So no worries. )

Hi Sara,

The feeling is mutual and I thank you for the compliment...you made me blush actually.
Seriously, though, it was real pleasure meeting you and like you said, the atmosphere was a bit intense in the room but it was still one of the best evenings I had at the conference. Our mutual friend was a bit "upset" and I'm glad he had a chance to let it out, finally...
Unfortuantely I won't be going to the MACNA in Houston, perhaps next year I'll make it to Pittsburgh.

BTW, I'm over 50... already...

Mike,

There were really no one from RC involved, just a mutual friend of Sara's and mine. And, there was no drama at all, just an old friend feeling a bit frustrated and needing a good drink and a ear. Sara and I provided that.
I can;t really fill you in on it anymore than I have, things like that are private as you know and I am not at liberty to discuss them here or anywhere.

Absolutely. You truly are a gentleman Jene. In fact, later on someone was trying to sum you up in a word but couldn't quite find one until I said "you know... he's almost regal."
