I have used it, I did not take my skimmer off, I did not run char. while I was med. I ran this staight in my reef tank. I cured my ick problem in about 5 days, I ran another 3 after I didn't see any more. And I have not had any problems since, and I have inverts in this tank too. Not problems with them. If you do a search I posted as much info about this product as I could find. Take a look for that.
Hope this helped,
Tray.
Just to Clairify, you are talking about the 100% natural stuff right, the reefsake by koren ?
It says it is 100% organic and it is Kordon Aquaherbals. This is a division of Novalek, Inc.Originally Posted by tray262
The reason I asked is that I was told by the LFS I bought it from to take my skimmer off line. Now the red slime that I had on the retreat is now threatening to take over again.

I never took skimmer off, I ran it with the treatment.
Is it the same stuff you were thinking of??? If so, I will turn my skimmer back on.Originally Posted by tray262

I used it - kept the skimmer online. Needed to use 1.5 times the recommended dosage. Ich went away... so did the bad smell in the house after about a week (Ich Attack stinks to high heavens!).

Hmmm... now that the tank is full, I could convert the pool to saltwater...
