Re: Building an Inwall Tank

Any idea on the species of that mantis? Some stay small and (somewhat) harmless- you never know... I think it's quite cool! Of course, I'm probably alone on that one...

Re: Building an Inwall Tank

Here's the tank in my kitchen I'm finishing. It's a 135 gallon (I think) that I set into a high top bar. Well actually... I built the bar around the tank, it's over 8' long. The top slides forward to gain access to the tank top. I think I started another thread a few months ago with pics of it during construction. I changed a few things since though. I pulled the MDF off the sides and put solid pine on instead (MDF + saltwater = a big mess!). The top is solid 1" pine as well which has a 1/8" thick layer urethane on it.
Does anyone else go through tanks like I do Seems I start a new tank project every other year, then think of some other cool idea and build it… my poor wife!
Legal Seafood here in town has a sweet marine tank built into the floor. You walk over it as you enter the restaurant! It's so awesome!
Possible next project

Re: Building an Inwall Tank

Dang...that's cool.

I wonder if my apartment complex would have an issue if I put an inwall tank between my living room and bedroom?
