Feeding anemone.

Is it okay to feed an anemone frozen, unthawed food?

I always thaw mine first... I'm sure the anemone wouldn't like the frozen stuff. Just an educated guess on my part.

It's not okay. The cold can cause tissue damage.

Before contemplating temperature, I would ask...what food? I'm also curious as to evidence that frozen food causes tissue damage (not that I think its a particularly good idea, just skeptical that it causes tissue damage)

Freezing is an effective way to kill tissue. Our skin has many layers of dead skin on it that protects us from brief exposures to frozen stuff, but anemones don't have that.

I know people routinely use ice packs to induce anemones to move or release from whatever they are attached to. It doesn't sound like a good idea to me.
