Very nice! I love the colors of some soft corals, but can't seem to find any locally (other than tan and brown). I'm adding more softies and LPSs to my small tank and moving the SPSs to the new big tank. I'd love to find some as nice as yours....

Has the middle one been dyed? And is the one to the left a carnation coral?!?
Other corals in the tank look cool.

It's going to die. It might last a few weeks or so, but it will eventually shrivel up into a mass of dead cnidarian tissue. (Unless *maybe* you're one of those few weird people who totally obsess about them and keep them in tanks specially set up just for them. But still, even then it's a gamble.)
You should never buy these corals. We don't know yet how to keep them. And thus, collection is a death sentence for them. As of the current state of the hobby, it's unethical and unjustified to buy them. I made the same mistake once and I feel bad about it still to this day. And I did everything I thought I could possibly do to keep it alive. It still only lasted about 5 weeks.

And sorry, but I'd bet $ that "pink" leather has been dyed. That doesn't necessarily mean it's going to die. But it ain't gonna stay pink like that. It looks like you have a healthy tank there, so hopefully it will eventually lose the dye and return to its natural beauty.
The sad thing here is that you're obviously dealing with an unscrupulous coral dealer. If you have the balls, you might want to have a word with him/her. But if you're not quite as confrontational as me, you might just want to find another place to get your livestock.

well so far there both doing really well i've had them for about 2 months now and they always open and close every day so far and i see no signs of the coral doing bad, the pink one has grow since i bought him. i really try my best to take care of the tank its so bad that i had to make a calander to keep up with the things that i put in the tank so i guess we will see what happens. someone has to be the first one to be able to keep one so maybe its me

If only people could manage to read Borneman's articles within 10 years of when he writes them, maybe the world would be a better place...
http://www.reefs.org/library/aquariu...96/1296_4.html And here's a nice one by Mr. Calfo for your edification on dyed corals: http://www.reefkeeping.com/issues/20...ture/index.php I'm sorry, I don't mean to be a be-atch... but dude, please, read these articles. It's important to be informed.
