Does a RO/DI unit remove phosphates?
Thanks Last edited by hreef; 06-15-2006 at 09:18 PM. |

It does remove PO4, as far as I can remember.
Here's more information about the RO/DI and what it does and does not remove. http://www.reefkeeping.com/issues/2005-05/rhf/index.php

Yea, you remove the phosphates in your starting water and then you add food to the tank.
Presto! More phosphates. Almost all foods contain phosphates, in the food and/or in the packaging, that are used to preserve the food.
