yes, i had fun! But in all the excitement, i forgot that i have a 3 hour long final exam tomorow starting a 12:00 noon, and i chose for a tuesday delivery... Should i chance it, and hope that it arrives at 10:30 sharp? that way i have 1 hour to acclimate? or, should i see if the order can be pushed back one day? It should only take 45 minutes to acclimate, right?
thanks mark |

I would wait for a Wed. delivery instead, just in case. You don't want to be all stressed out for that exam, or rush the acclimation, if it does not arrive on time.
Fedex usually delivers to me before 10:30am. But you never know. JMO

OMG!!! I just email one of Jasons employees to change the shipping date, but just thought of what most likely happened. It is kind of late in the day, the package probably shipped already!!!! AHHHH!! I HOPE NOT!

If your order has already shipped, and you don't have time to aclimate them (I generally go for 2 hours on inverts) just float the bags in the tank till your test is over.
Sometimes I take as long as 3-4 hours to acclimate. What I do is take the bag, empty some of the water out (depending on how full it is) then I put the open bag in the tank and using packaging tape, tape the open end to the tank frame. This way the bag is "floating" so the temps even out, I add tank water a little at a time (sometimes I forget to add water for 30 minutes or more, hence the long acclimation, but I figure the slower the better) when the bag is full (depending on size) acclimation is over (with smaller bags I usually dump half the water and refill to finish acclimation). It's easy for me, less stressfull for livestock. It's worked great when I've bought stuff and then had to leave before acclimation is finished. Kathy |
