Help!!!

Hello!! A few hours ago when the lights in the tank went off the water started getting cloudy!! Now it's milky and my skimmer is going crazy! The only new thing I noticed today was my bta got twice his normal size! Now it's like he deflated! I also have 5 clams but i've been watching them and they don't seem to be spawning. Can anemones spawn? I don't know if i should prepare a water change or let nature take it's coarse.

Water seems to be clearing up on it's own! I have 35 gallons of water mixing. I'm still going to do the water change just in case! My BTA is still shriveled looking. I'm still curious if one anemone could make all that mess alone?

Anemones inflate and deflate normally... I've heard of BTA's spawning in nature, but not in a home-sized tank.

I hope evertything turns out ok for you....

Is it possible your snails spawned?

I am pretty sure Gene had a mass spawning event in his E. Quad tank. Only he has more then 20 specimens now I think....

It is quite possible that your anemone spawned, and yes, it had happened in my tank in the past. If you look inside your skimmer you should be able to see a goo of the sperm in there( if your anemone is a male). If it is a female you should've been able to see some eggs floating around in your tank.
I recommend doing a water change after spawning event, regardless if water column is clearing up or not.
Have you taken any pictures?

The tank is all cleared up. I did a water change just in case. My Bta is back to his usual self . I didn't think to take any pictures. My skimmer had a very think goo in it.
