cleaning live rock

Hey,

Has anyone ever heard of using a powerhead to clean dirt and junk off of your live rock? I have never done that and i have all kinds of dirt and fuzzy stuff on my LR. My friend uses a power head on his when he cleans the tank and LR looks real nice.

I cleaned mine to a sparkling shine and wish I never did. No telling what I lost when I did that.

I use a turkey baster and it works great. There is no concern about the dangling power cord getting in the way, or blasting the sand bed when you weren't paying attention and moving from one part of the tank to another.

Can you tell I've been there and done that!
