zoos not opening much

My new 125 has been going thru its cycling algae stages with a bad bout of hair algae, (that I am winning) and all my corals are doing great except for whats left of my zoos and a some button polyps. They of course went thru dinos and then the hair algae smothering them but are now mostly algae free but still wont open to their original full size, and the button polyps wont open at all. Is there something I can do to remedy this or should I just let them be.?

I would just let them be. Being smothered by hair algae and dinos had something to do with them not opening. Now that they are algae free they should bounce back. Has your water parameters changed much in the time you were fighting the algae and what did you do to combat it? Have you used any chemicals,etc.?

I was wondering on how to get the hair algea off some zoo that I have and I am not sure how to do that. Can any one help???

My zoo's freak me out from time to time. Sometimes they shut down and convince me they are dead, only to reopen a couple days later with new additions. I've learned that corals are anything but predictable.
