Brain Coral (Wellsophyllia)
Hi everyone,
I just picked up a brain coral yesterday and it looks great! However, I do have a question… My wife just called and told me that the coral now looks swollen or puffy. What would cause the coral to become swollen? Is it a problem? Tank info: 50 gallon Prizzom protein skimmer HOB refuge High light Moderate to high water flow Water parameters are all normal |

If you just got it yesterday, you most likely did not see it expanded (swollen) very much after adding it. It should/will get bigger than what you saw when you first added it. It will swell during the day and usually shrink at night. Don't be alarmed, it is acting normal. I really like the Wellsophylia brain. Some have some very striking colors. Enjoy
