Great job....

If my tank and canopy look 1/2 that good when I'm done I'll be thrilled.

How did you treat the inside of your canopy? Poly? Marine Varnish? Are the fans dissipating the heat OK? Where in Wisconsin are you? Any local clubs you could recommend?

Thanks again everyone for the nice words.

Newbieguy, the cabinet maker just sprayed it with a clear coat. Not sure exactly what that is. He adds a hardner so it was dry in about an hour.

The fans are doing fine, although I probably should have tilted the 2 fans on the temp. controller down a little more.

I'm in Janesville and there is a group in Madison, WI. Also, a group just started in Rockford, IL as well. There is the WRS, which is more Milwaukee area and north. I'll PM you some links.

Eric, one quick note, make sure you keep an eye on those fans. I had 2 of them on my canopy, they both quit after about a year. I think the humidity and the DUST (my fault for not cleaning them often) had a lot to do with their demise. I am going to replace all my DC computer fans with a 2 AC fans from either radio shack or icecap...

Yeah, the Radio Shack fans were the same way, but at twice the cost, plus they were loud. Hopefully, I'll clean these and keep them going longer, but I would be happy with a year if that is all I get.

I ordered a "six pack" from new egg, I think it was $20 after shipping. Maybe I another six pack will do for me too. I know the IC fans last a long time, but they are EXPENSIVE that is for sure.

I noticed your canopy is pretty much open at the top, I don't think you will have a heat issue, with a single 250W halide anyway.

some great pictures, love the clowns nestling!

I bought 2 80mm(led) to act as moonlights & 1 92mm for $12 shipped from Xoxide.com. $12 for a year of cooling isn't that bad.

ABSOLUTLY BEAUTIFUL

It looks like you stuck with the smaller fish for the most part. I like that also.
What is the black fish in the last group of pic's. Looks like a blenny, I can't place what type.
