Great pictures! They look a tad to blue for my taste, but the exposure, focus, and composition are good!
Looks like that tank is doing well for you! |

When we first started out I was 10k all the way. We have gradually gone bluer, from 10k to 14k and now the 20k radiums. I love the look of the corals under them.

I figured out how to edit the pictures to take out the blue and have replaced most of them with the upgraded pictures. It's amazing what software can do

ereefic,
This has been one of my favorite threads for a long time now. I love the stand and hood you've built. Any chance you have sketches and/or details of materials and construction you could post. I'm planning on building a stand for my 65 gallon to hold a new MR-2 skimmer and 29 gallon sump, but large enough to hold my future 150 gallon tank. I'm also impressed with Klasikb's photo's. Would love to see more from both of you. Thanks & good luck Rob |

Thanks rjs, I really don't have any sketches of the stand and canopy. The pics on the first page should give a good idea. Materials used were 3/4" oak play and solid oak. Just glued and screwed (pocket screws) and a clear finish sprayed on.
Tanks been kinda hangin in there the last few months. I believe the choice of reusing old sand is biting us in the bum. Will be making a few changes in a few weeks to try and get things back on track. |

Not expecting problems with delamination of the plywood? Or have you used marine grade, or just sealed it real well?
Boy if those pics are your tank just "kinda hangin", I can;t wait to see when you get it really going. Who is Klasikb, your alias? Thanks for the info, i'll post pics when I'm done, if I can even come close to matching yours. |

A cabinet maker made the stand and canopy, so he used 'good' wood. The finish was just sprayed on by him as well. With hardners added and whatnot it was dry within an hour.
Klasikb is my wife. We are both nutty. ![]() |
