    Bryopsis

Anyone have any experenance with this suff?

Ive bin fighing it for a long time,

REmoveing it manual is out of the question, i wish i would have left it the way it was, nice and small little circle. now its all over the place.

I have done anything and everything i think you guys will post.

    water changes
    light
    tests

    my water is perfict, 8.2, 0, 0, 0, 420,1370, 2.5 meg/l at 79.5 degree.

starveing it out will be impossabul with out removeing all inhabs or killing them in the starveing.

some people say boil the rock, i dont know what that means. other say nuke. or start over.

Im leaning to the start over button soon.

anyone have this problem with this fern like Bryopsis?

    Hi Burning2nd,

I don't think what you have is actually Bryopsis, which may be a blessing because Bryopsis is very difficult to rid.

It looks like a mix of different types to me. How old is the system? Obviously the nutrients you are testing for could be undetectable due to the algae consuming it quickly. How often do you feed?

its only 6 months old, thats what i was told about the nutrients, there geting stucked up so fast you cant detect em.

I was feeding frozen brine and mysis+krill way to often i backed off completely. none i feed forumula one, pellets every other day, (started that 2 weeks ago i think) water changes weekly and now, i feed only enough to get to the mouths of my fish, trying not to let any get by to the rocks and stuff.

b4 i was sorta dumping it in i think, makeing sure that everyone was geting something, the shrimps molted a bunch of times, and that when this problem started about 3 months ago.

It sounds like you are on the right track. Continue to perform agressive water changes, limit the feeding and manually extract and you will beat it. There is no solution that will quickly fix this, it will take time and persistence.

There is still a problem present if if you restarted, as "global" of an answer as it sounds, it's all about finding the source.
