Cool advice needed

I am sure you get these questions alot, so I am sorry if this is the 10th time you have answered one like this but I could really use some help because I don't have any friends i can ask for advice on aquariums. I purchased a 55 gallon tank and stand.. I want to do a reef tank with it. If you guys could point me in the right direction I would really appreaciate it. My thoughts were that I would get the following.. am I going to cheap witht this stuff? Is there a model that you reccomend or another route i should take? I don't exactly know what kinda coral or live rock I want to put in yet. What are some types that you like?

WET DRY-
ProClear Aquatics Model 75 Wet Dry with Prefilter

PUMP-

OR
Quiet One Water Pump 4000

PROTEIN SKIMMER-
Coralife Super Skimmer-Needle Wheel-65 Gallon
http://www.bigalsonline.com/BigAlsU...lewheel65gallon
OR
Mini G Series Skimmer (ASM)
http://www.thatpetplace.com/MainPro...F49BB+0578+0023

LIGHTING-

I am cluless where to go with my lighting.. i was looking at this
Coralife Lunar Aqualight Deluxe Series-48" (4X65W) with 4- 3/4W Blue-Moon-Glow LED Lamps
http://www.bigalsonline.com/BigAlsU...oonglowledlamps

Sorry I know I have a million questions, your help would be greatly appreaciated. If you think im going in the wrong direction let me know, feel free to reccomend any other equipment I might need. Thank you!

Lightbulb

I have a couple of the CA Aquarium Pumps and they work really well- they are also cheap . Spend a little extra on your skimmer, I have aquac urchin that is in my sump. You can find urchins/remoras on ebay for around $100. That's what mine cost. For a 55 I would suggest mh. Also you can find good deals on this site and on ebay definitely comparable to $199 for a pc that you will have to replace more frequently. Good luck

ok ill help, from what ive red from others on mutli other servers.

and my own
I use the aqua C brand, and beacuse of the little EXCELLENT server that i have had with there customer server guys, (very nice and friendly fast service)

wet dry IMO no go, reson $$$

i built my sump for about 15 bucks, i put 10 $$ of lr in it, 40$ of lighting,
(then to make it work)
i have a AGA 30 i needed a over flow, cr90, eh 90$ so thats 125,

FRom what im told Bio balls= bad news they trap waste witch turns in to no3.

the pump i used a mag jet 7(i think more popular name)

your power head, you will get more flow for a little bit of more money
if u use 2 maxi 1200's on both sides you will reduce your dead spots,

the mini g, IDK

the CSS ive bin told by other people is better then mine, but i argue that with the fact that when the Css f's up there not gonna get on the phone and ship you stuff free of cost over night
corps suck

i use t5's i like em, its all choice you should try to find em and see the setup you want to by set up already,

get your hands on one that set up see how the setup is if you like the noise the heat were the button's are and how it plugs in.

i would like to hang my lights tho

you still need DEPENDBUL heating, testing, LR (big time $$) and your choise of substrait

Forget the wet/dry and just get yourself a good protein skimmer. For hang on tank, I like the Remoras... for in sump I haven't a clue.

For lighting... all depends on what you want to keep. I like metal halides because you can keep anything underthem and they make those fabulous glitter lines.
