Need Help

I have a 50gal fish only tank containing a pair of clowns. I would like to add live rock to the established tank. How should i do this.

Slowly - and use cured.
Do you have a skimmer?

I agree. The live rock will have to be fully cured and it would be better to add it in small quantities -- maybe 10-15 lbs a week.

If you are buying it locally and picking it up yourself, it would be possible to add it all at once provided it was not out of water very long. One good thing going for you is that all you have is a pair of clownfish and they are pretty hardy fish. But if you're buying it locally, it shouldn't be too much trouble to at least split your purchase in half and add half now and half a week later.

Good luck!

Ditto... definitely do it slow. Even if it's already cured, I'd imagine that just moving it to a new tank will likely kill some of the sponge (and dead sponges can be bad news for your water if you add too much at a time).
