    Copper safe products

More than 3-4 anemone were introduced to my display tank for my NEMO but all of them die off within 4 hrs after putting in the tank. after a few failed I start to use my test kit to test the water then 0.2 PPM of copper appear in my main tank that no wonder why they reached that sad result.

Some products brand "AQUARIUMA" COPPER REMOVER in my country claims that it can remove Copper / Ironoxide / Aluminum / Lead / Titanium by dissolve 1 teaspoon of fresh water and add directly to tank for each 100 gallon.

After using mentioned product the test kit read 0.2 PPM after using it for 30 minutes the kit read as 0 PPM. BUT This’d a matter that how can I know that the water is really safe for keeping anemone or sea mat?

First of all I would figure out where the copper came from. Is there anything metal touching the water? Is anything in the tank from a tank that was treated with copper? Is there copper in your water source? Once you figure out where it came from and fix the situation I would keep doing large water changes and using the copper binder.

The only way to really know if its safe for inverts though is to try a few out. Test kits don't resolve low enough to tell. Start with small inverts like snails so if they don't survive they don't foul the tank. Let the tank stabilize for a few months before you try another anemone.
If you can't change the world, change history- TRT

In Thailand, when you buy the fish from the shop in the marine fish market. They just bring your fish in the bag and top up the water into the bag. Most of water that uses to top up is put mild copper or lower 0.3 PPM. In Thailand you must keep eyes from every step and point them to:

    1. Using the new bag to contain the fish
    2. Using the same water in the tank to carry the fish
    3. In case of anemone fish, you must choose the fish from the tank that have a few anemones in to ensure that the water is safe for us.
    4. Before packing the fish, the shop mostly top up the water in the bag by their specially prepared water near the place the packing processing.
    5. Test the copper before you bring the fish to the main tank.

The copper that appears in my tank must be from the step I mentioned. Now how can I remove it?
