Anemone??

http://www.reefland.com/forum/attach...1&d=1159753743

Can anyone tell me if this looks like a baby anemone or something bad? I got this LR from my wifes sister. She had a pink tip anemone that lived for like 2 years. About a month or two before it died these began to show up and are growing fairly fast this one is dime sized. There are about 8 of them, this one being the largest. Is that too many? Any help would be appreciated.

If they're anemones then they sting stuff. That might be ok if they're not all up in your corals' business. But if they start reproducing like aptasia, well, then in you're looking for a royal pain in the behind because you'll have to start killing them off (which might not be so easy once they really get going).

I don't think it is an Anemone since it appears to be a polyp on a skeletal base. So look more for a nonphotosynthetic coral ID and there are a lot of possibilities. Do a search here for "astrangia" for some possible solutions.
