Brown spot on yellow tang??

My yellow tang has developed a brown spot about the size of a pencil eraser, any clue as to what it may be and possible solution.
All tank perameters are fine
S.G. 1.025
PH 8.2
DKH 9.5
CA 400
Temp between 80.2 - 82.2
ammo, nitrite, natrate, undetectable
she has been in the tank at least 6 months. nobody else showing any signs of this. Thanks

I seen it for the first time last night before the lights had started to cycle down, it is square in the center of his body.

Sounds like a normal situation for a Yellow tang to get the brown spot on it's side at night or when it is spooked.
If it goes away and comes back then goes away and comes back and goes away etc it is normal .

don't worry its normal, its their natural defense, in the wild they don't want to show their bright yellow color to big hungry groupers in the dark

Hopefully that is all that it is . Like I said if it comes and goes then that is probably what it is.
I see spot on mine once in a while and it is in perfect health.
See a great photo of mine on my site.
