How many fish?

I have a 55 gallon tank and am trying to find someone who can tell me how many fish I can have in a tank this size. I have a yellow tange, tomato clown fish, 2 green chromis, sally light foot, 5 ghost shrimp, cleaner shrimp, golden headed sleeper ghobie, bangai cardinal, royal gramma, and fire fish gobbie. Does anyone know if there are any other fish that I can add or how many I can add? Are there any specific one that I should stay away from?

I have five fish in a 75 gallon. What you have to figure out is how big your fish get, how much territory they need and if the bioload is too much for your tank. I'm gonna say you shouldn't add any more fish and maybe you should think about trading a few off.....the tang for starters would benefit from some more room. I have 5 fish in a 75 gallon and I don't want to add any others.

Pzone,

I would say you are full up. The chromis and the gramma will probably spar as they get big. Either might prove to be too aggressive for your firefish, which is extremely shy. How big is your yellow tang? He will get to be the size of your hand (at least) and will also get more territorial as he grows up. You don't say if you have live rock or bare bottom or what.... how often do you do water changes?
