Help in identification
i have noticed this in my tank for some time now and i am not sure what what it is, and i was wondering if someone could help me on its identification. it is mobile and stays only on my live rock, thanks

![]() I am not sure exactly what it is but have had many of them and they are harmless algae eaters. I bet greenbean will jump in here, he loves this stuff. ![]() |

It's a limpet. They're generally harmless grazers, but may occasionally nibble on sessile inverts like sponges, tunicates, and sometimes even corals. They usually don't do much damage though.
