Do you have a good skimmer, ammonia test kit, lights and everything else you need to keep the critters, corals and other funs stuff that might come on your live rock alive? if so then I'd say let the tank run a few more days and add your rock.

WE setup our tank and let it run for about 2 weeks while we ensured smooth operation; that is no problems with the equipment, etc. During this time, we ensured our salinity was stable, as well as temperature and pH. After this period, we added a few lbs of rock to our tank, and then about 1.5 weeks later, the remainder of what we wanted to aquascape with.

You might consider increasing your specific gravity a bit too. 1.025 is more commonly accepted.

hmmmm....that skimmer....i have the same one i dont think it that good there are some ways you can make it better tho this is what i do.

in the outlet end of things i stuff some filter sponge not the fine stuf but the course stuff, this traps most micro bubbles are slows the rate the water can excape from the skimmer thus highering the water level in side the thing but also gives the water more time to get skimmed, so then what i do is higher the collection cup so that there is only a few millimeters left to higher it. this is kinda tricky to do and can take some time but once its done it works lots better.

cheers james

I think your skimmer is ok. What lights are you runing? the rock can go in as long as ther is water..if you put it in naw do not put a fish in that you will want to take out soon like damelfishes..
