Green clown goby

I've read some discussions on clown gobies before, and if I remember if you give them a coral to perch on their pretty easy to keep. My main question is how would one of these guys fair with a school of neon gobies

I heard that they are quite difficult to keep (prove me wrong) I have read that they are non-aggressive, and are slow (so chasing fish is imposible) HTH!

I don't believe that they are hard to keep. The problem with them that I have encountered is their poor health as result of transport. They are also so small that it is dificult to check them for ich. Out of the 4 we put into our reef about 6 months ago two died shortly after arrival, one lasted a month or so, and the fourth is still kicking.

FishKid, slow?? are you kidding. LMAO These little suckers are actually very fast. They will perch on corals and dart around the tank. If you stare at the tank for long enough you will see a flash of green as it dodges through rocks and corals.

Mikeman, I can't really answer your question on compatability. They may pick one coral, or roam many as ours does. If it roams there could be some territory disputes, but I can't say. I have only kept angels and clowns with my neon gobies.

I read, that they are very slow, and can only be kept with slow fish (FFE) I might buy one, in a few weeks

I love them

I had one that lived over a yr and was one of my favorite fish. I really don't know what happened to it. It just died one day. It was fast though. It was fun watching it chasing food down.

I bought another about 2 months ago. It didn't do well from day 1. It got skinnier and skinnier. Even though I do feed baby brine to the small fish to help them eat as soon as I get it. But poor thing just woundn't eat and died.

I am thinking about getting another one but I don't think I will now. I have a male banggai in the tank that is carrying eggs so I am not adding any fish that might eat his babies before I can get them out.
