Can I Use Other Rocks

Hi all , another probably dumb question, but I have some live rock in my tank is it okay if I also put in some volcanic type rock that I have plenty of from when I was running normal trops

It is a risk to use rock that is not calcium based because salt water is so corrosive it can break down minerals in the rock which can leach into the water and cause algae blooms or other problems (like poisoning invertebrates).
