Mushrooms need help

Hi all,

This may seem funny since it is hard to damage a mushroom but a couple of mine seem to be needing some help. I have a 110 gallon with hair, blue, and striped mushrooms. Over the past couple of days one of the blue and one of the hair mushrooms have not been looking all that good (they are not opening and look a little burned).

The tank is 33 inches tall with 2 150w metal halide and two 96w blue PC lights.

Water test:
SG: 1.025 or 26 it is hard to tell
Temp: 76
PH: 8.4
Alk: 0-1.6 Milli equivalents per liter (on the low end of the scale)(I know this is low)
NH3: 0
NO2: 0
NO3: 0
PO4: 0
Calcium: 470 PPM

Hi Saltie,

These are pretty hardy corals. I would give it a few days to see if they opened back up before I started worrying. Everything looks just fine with your tank.

Hi Scott,

Thanks for the reply. Since I posted the first message one mushroom has come back to life but the other is still not looking happy, but all his little blue mushroom friends are moving around and taking over the tank.

I do have a follow on question for you. DO you think I have enough light for more light demaning coral like a frogspawn or something of the sort?
