Tang Question

Hi all,

I have 110 gallon tank with a yellow tang and a few other non-agressive fish. I would like to add a clown tang but am concerned that the yellow tang will attack it. :slap:

can anyone give me advice?

It will be the other way around. The clown tang will likley kill the yellow tang. Get a mall clown tang, if you want to add one. It is one of the most aggresive of the tangs.

Hi, if the clown tang will not work what about the power brown tang? can two tangs with different body shapes get along with out fighting?

I would like to add another fish to my reef tank but do not want any scrapping.

There are two tangs commonly know as Powder Brown tang. A. japonicus should be fine, easier to keep and more beautiful also.

That is an awsome fish, if I add it to the tank do you think the resident yellow tang will give it problems? I understand that tangs generally do not like eachother.

In a 110 g tank, adding a A. japonicus to a tank with a yellow tang is OK. Get one at least the same size as the yellow tang. Neither of these two tangs are really aggressive. They may fight a little but should be OK.
