quick star polyps question!
I thourght this happen with my new more powerfull lights, and it did, but its no biggy.
my star polyps are closed up now i have lowerd my 150w MH down to 9" there were loving life when it was 16" above. So do i: A - move the lights back up and slowly move them down. B - have the lights on for a few hours each day increaseing the time over a few weeks. C - not care they will sort them selfs out in due corse. what do ya think, james ![]()

Mine do not come out much under 400W halides but they still grow. You could move the coral to a less sunny spot. Halides are the most intense directly below the bulb so moving them to the ends of the tank would expose them to less light intensity.
