A couple of questions
Hi everyone,
A friend of mine wants to give me a LR for my refuge. The LR he has is covered in green hair algea, will this cause a problme? I would also like to know where i can get some amphipods to keep as food in the refuge. Thanks. |

You should clean the rock thoroughly before placing it in your tank. Take a 5 gallon bucket of saltwater (perhaps the waste water when you are doing a water change) and scrub the rock in this water with a toothbrush to remove the algae.
As for purchasing some amphipods, check out Indo-Pacific Sea Farms |
