New to Reef Aquariums

I was Just given a tank w/live rock and not so live sand. I pland on setting it up as a reef tank. Im pretty clueless and am looking for some direction. Tommorow i am going to start killing off annomes as I am told they are "bad annomes. after that I have no idea where to go.

Let's start out with this, what kind of tank, equipment and livestock do you have?

I have a 70 gal tank with a protien skimmer and filter. Tomorrow i am going to buy a new light and powerheads. I am also in the prosess of setting up a sump filter. In the tank i have 50+ pounds of live rock and 4 inches of supposed live sand. As far as animals go I have 2 blue hermit crabs, a mushroom coral about 1/2 inch across and to many "bad" annomes to count.
